Pickleball Manningham Club Mega Milestone

Published Tue 27 Jan 2026

Pickleball Manningham Club recently reached a significant milestone, welcoming our 600th member — with numbers continuing to grow. Since forming in 2022, the club has expanded rapidly in both membership and participation, reflecting the strong and growing interest in pickleball across the community.

From the outset, our focus has been on building a welcoming and inclusive club that promotes an active, healthy lifestyle while creating plenty of opportunities for social connection. This community-first approach has been central to our continued growth and success.

To meet increasing demand, we now offer more than 40 playing sessions each week across three venues, catering for a wide range of playing abilities and experience levels. We are fortunate to have the ongoing support of the City of Manningham and Aligned Leisure, who recognise the club as a valuable contributor to the local sporting community and have supported improved access to, and enhancements at, our venues.

In addition to regular play, we have actively collaborated with Manningham City Council on a range of community initiatives and events, including This Girl Can, the Community Business Council event, the Senior’s Week and the annual Summer of Fun program. These partnerships have helped introduce pickleball to new audiences and further strengthen our connection with the broader community.

On court, we continue to evolve our session offerings to keep things engaging and inclusive. Round-robin and mini-league formats have proven particularly popular, and we are excited about expanding opportunities for inter-club competition as interest continues to grow.

Off the court, our social calendar is also thriving, with events such as trivia nights, our Christmas party, and Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations all well attended and enjoyed by members.

None of this growth would be possible without the dedication and energy of our volunteers. From committee members managing day-to-day operations, to those delivering skills sessions, supporting social media and marketing, organising social events, coordinating competitions, and the many members who step up to run playing sessions — their contribution is invaluable.

It’s an exciting and rewarding time to be involved in the growth of pickleball. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Pickleball Victoria and our local partners as both the sport and Pickleball Manningham Club continue to thrive into the future.
